Start times are as follows:
50M/100K runners - 6:00am
27/50 mile bikers - 8:00am
27 mile runners - 8:30am
13 mile runners - 9:00am
**Due to partial trail closures for 2020, all runners and bikers will start and finish in Woodworth, LA at Calvary Woodworth Church parking lot. The details below of Valentine Lake Campground do not apply to anyone.
All 50M/100K Ultra runner participants must meet at Valentine Lake Campground entrance on race day no later than 5:30 am for the 6:00 am start. All 27 Mile Ultra and Mt. Bike participants need to be at the Valentine Lake Campground by 7:00 am. You will then be shuttled to the start line in Woodworth Louisiana for last minute discussions and start. You will be provided a MAP of the trail and locations of the self-service aid stations which we plan on placing approximately every 4-5 miles along the trail. It would be advisable for you to pack your cell phone in case of an emergency. We will provide contact numbers so we can get to you as quickly as possible.
Camping: For those wanting to camp, space is available at the Valentine Lake Campground located ½ mile from the race Start/Finish.
Aid boxes will be along the Wild Azalea Trail approximately every 4 miles and inlcudes water, gatorade, coke, Gu, bananas, pretzels, snicker bites, cheeseits, toilet paper, and bandaids. All liquids will be in 8 oz containers to allow for easier carrying to each station. A trash bag will be out for all waster to be put in. At the half way mark there will be gallon size water and gatorade to refuel camelbacks and personal bottles. The portion of the 50 mile bike route that leaves the Wild Azalea trail will only have 3 additional fluid and aid boxes along the 24 miles that are away from the main trail.
Food, Beer and Bragging will abound at the Finish Line!!
All finishers receive a WAT race medal with our race logo and a finisher's t-shirt confirming your bragging rights. Male and female awards will be for first, second, third only to overall participants in each of the five race categories. Also, first place Masters will receive an award. All 50 mile bikers and runners will receive a logo coffee mug.
